Lead HR Administrator | 4 days per week | £30,000 FTE | South Bristol

Element Recruitment are currently recruiting for a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation as a Lead HR Administrator.

You’ll play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day HR administration function, supporting the wider HR team and acting as a go-to point of contact for HR administration queries.

Although there are no direct line management responsibilities, you’ll provide guidance and support to the HR administration team, helping to allocate workloads, manage priorities and ensure everything runs smoothly.

The Role
You’ll be responsible for:
  • Coordinating the day-to-day activities of the HR administration team, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and deadlines are met
  • Maintaining accurate employee and HR records, including contracts, changes to terms and conditions and absence information
  • Providing first-line support and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, processes and general HR queries
  • Supporting the recruitment administration process, including pre-employment checks and onboarding
  • Coordinating mandatory and other training, maintaining accurate records and following up outstanding training
  • Ensuring HR systems and employee records are kept accurate and up to date
  • Monitoring right-to-work documentation and time-limited visas, ensuring upcoming expiry dates are appropriately managed
  • Preparing regular HR reports and statistics
  • Supporting HR projects, audits, system implementations and process improvements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and ways of working

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
  • Previous experience within an HR Administration role, ideally with some experience coordinating or overseeing the work of others
  • A good understanding of HR policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation
  • Experience supporting recruitment administration and onboarding
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
  • Ideally, a Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent
