Credit Controller | Gloucester | £30-35k + benefits
We are partnering with an established SME group based in Gloucester to find a strong Credit Controller to join their team on a 90% - 100% office-based basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take real ownership of the credit control function while also supporting the wider finance team by stepping in to assist with accounts payable (AP) when needed. Crucially, this role offers a genuine pathway to progress into a Group Credit Control position as the business continues to grow.

We are partnering with an established SME group based in Gloucester to find a strong Credit Controller to join their team on a 90% - 100% office-based basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take real ownership of the credit control function while also supporting the wider finance team by stepping in to assist with accounts payable (AP) when needed. Responsibilities:
- Taking full ownership of the credit control ledger, proactively managing cash flow, chasing overdue payments, and building strong relationships with clients to reduce debtor days.
- Resolving complex billing or account queries efficiently to ensure smooth payment cycles.
- Stepping in at times to support the accounts payable (AP) function, helping with processing and supplier management when required / holiday cover.
- Collaborating with the broader finance team to streamline credit processes and improve overall cash visibility.
- A very strong, proven background in credit control with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to help out with accounts payable (AP) duties when the team needs it.
- A proactive, ambitious mindset with the drive and capability to progress into a group-level credit control position.
