Logistics Operations Manager

Bridgwater | £35,000 - £42,500 DOE + Mileage Paid

Our client is seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Operations Manager to join their growing team in Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operations, logistics, or supply chain professional who enjoys leading teams, managing multiple projects, and ensuring customers receive an exceptional service.

Working closely with customers, suppliers, warehouse partners, and internal departments, you will play a key role in overseeing logistics operations, installation schedules, stock control, and customer communications. This position would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently manage both people and processes.

The Role:

As a Logistics Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting and developing a team responsible for logistics and operational coordination.
• Planning and managing installation schedules to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Preparing risk assessments and method statements for installation projects.
• Monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Managing customer queries, returns, replacements and service-related requests.
• Coordinating orders and deliveries with third-party logistics providers and warehouse partners.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Providing regular updates on delivery and installation progress.
• Ensuring operational records and compliance documentation are accurately maintained.
• Supporting goods receiving and stock booking processes where required.
• Producing operational reports and presenting schedules to wider business teams.
• Coordinating vehicle and personnel bookings through customer delivery systems.
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed across all operational activities.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience within a Logistics Manager, Operations Manager, Logistics Coordinator, Supply Chain, Distribution or Operational Planning role.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring a team.
• Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving operational challenges.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• The ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A logical and methodical approach to work.
• A full UK driving licence.

The Following Would Be Advantageous:

• Experience within logistics, distribution, transport or installation operations.
• Knowledge of stock control and inventory management processes.
• Experience preparing operational documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
• Exposure to third-party logistics providers and warehouse operations.
• Experience working within a customer-focused operational environment.

Additional Information

This role is based in Bridgwater, with regular travel to Bristol and sites across North Devon. Travel to North Devon is typically required one to two times per week, with mileage expenses fully reimbursed.
